MHS 2015

MHS 2016

Progress 8

Attainment 8

C+ in English and Maths

Ebacc Achievement

The Progress 8 scores are based on the amount of progress made from KS2 SATs results to the end of KS4 (GCSEs and other qualifications that count). A score of 0.1 means that our pupils have progressed better than the progress made by similar pupils nationally last year.

The Attainment 8 score shows that our pupils have achieved on average higher grades in 2016 than compared with 2015. A score of 5.2 is just above a C grade on average.

The C+ (good pass) in English and maths has improved significantly since 2016.

The Ebacc Achievement is where pupils have achieved a C+ or better in 5 each of the following academic areas, English, Maths, Languages, Sciences and Humanities. A score of 33% would have placed us second in the county f0r 2015 (based on data submitted to the LEA).

Exam Information

It is important that students are present on days where there are controlled assessments and exams planned. There this is not possible, you must contact the school at the earliest opportunity. The best way to keep up to date is to visit the Exams page on the school website, this will be updated regularly. Students should be encouraged to check the exams information board (near C3 & C4) for up to date information on revision sessions, dates for exams, controlled assessments, seating plans and equipment needed for forthcoming exams.

Students must arrive with all the necessary equipment. Click Here to view a checklist. I am selling good quality exam stationery at very reasonable prices. Click Here to view the prices.

If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact me via email at or telephone 0116 236 3291.
